Oh Happy Days! I’m back with my new blog and I can’t be more excited. Over the last six months while waiting on this to happen I have been dreaming of all the yummy cookies, cakes and pies I can bake and blog about. Get ready because I’m trying out new flours, baking starchless for my daughter, and going crazy with chocolate.
My daughter Juliane is responsible for my new blog. I love her creativity in making everything look so beautiful. She’s awesome.
So why “One Hot Oven?” Simple, my oven seems to be on all the time. I have the most fun trying new recipes and most require my oven to be on. I have been learning to use almond flour to help my daughter who can’t eat starch. It’s been a big challenge but I’ve come up with so many good recipes which I’ll be sharing soon. Have you heard of einkorn flour? This is one of the earliest cultivated forms of wheat. I’m trying to get away from the hybridized modern wheat, and einkorn flour is healthier and has a great flavor. I love it.
My mission for 2014 is to go through all my recipe books I have put together over the years and start baking them, there’s so many. I think my strategy will be to just open my recipe book and bake whatever is on that page. My pantry is filled with plenty of sugar and flour, and the fridge with butter; all the essential items for baking.
No recipes today but here’s some yummy goodies that have come out of my kitchen!
