Simple Ingredients
Flour & Salt Butter & Shortening Cold Water
Cutting in the fats
use cold cubed butter and shortening and cut into the flour until the size of peas
Roll the Dough
Roll the dough in a large enough circle that will fit into your pie plate
The 2 Knife Method
I like to use 2 knives to cut in the fats, but a pastry blender will work too!
Add Ice Cold Water
Add water a tablespoon at a time until the dough holds together
Chill the Dough
Wrap the pie dough in plastic and chill for at least an hour before rolling
Get Ready To Roll
Put plenty of flour down and sprinkle flour on the dough before rolling
Rolling over the Pin
I like to roll the dough over the rolling pin to transfer it to the pie plate
Unroll the Dough
Put the pin on the pie plate and unroll the dough

Put the pin on the pie plate and unroll the dough
Crimp the Edge
Crimp the edge so it looks nice and pretty for your filling
