  • In a small bowl, melt the butter.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the cake mix and the melted butter. Stir with a fork until it is crumbly and coarse.
  • Spread the cherry pie filling across the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the cake mix and melted butter over the pie filling in an even layer.
  • Sprinkle with the chopped pecans.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until slightly browned and the pie filling is bubbly.
