Fresh Ginger Honey Tea

Try this easy recipe for Fresh Ginger Tea for a soothing hot drink. It’s spicy, citrusy a little sweet, and very comforting.

Ingredients

  • 1 inch Fresh ginger
  • Honey to taste, or maple syrup, agave
  • 8 ounces Water

Instructions

  • Place one cup of water in a pot and turn on medium-high heat.
  • As it heats, slice the ginger into thin slices and add to the pot.
  • If adding additional flavorings, place a cinnamon stick, turmeric, or mint (only add one of these flavorings).
  • Bring to a boil, stir the pot, then turn off the heat and allow to steep for 4-5 min.
  • Pour into a mason jar if preparing ahead or directly into a mug.

Notes

If you have any leftover tea, store it in a jar with a tight-fitting lid in the refrigerator for up to three days.
