Ingredients

Fresh ginger
Honey
to taste, or maple syrup, agave
8
ounces
Water
Optional Ingredients
Orange or lemon
slices or the peels
cinnamon sticks
Turmeric
Mint leaves
Instructions
Place one cup of water in a pot and turn on medium-high heat.
As it heats, slice the ginger into thin slices and add to the pot.
If adding additional flavorings, place a cinnamon stick, turmeric, or mint (only add one of these flavorings).
Bring to a boil, stir the pot, then turn off the heat and allow to steep for 4-5 min.
Pour into a mason jar if preparing ahead or directly into a mug.
Notes
If you have any leftover tea, store it in a jar with a tight-fitting lid in the refrigerator for up to three days.
