Instructions

  • Add the black candy melts to a deep bowl and melt in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between. Add solid coconut oil to thin out the chocolate (about 1 tsp worth).
  • Remove one of the sides of the cookie, dip the top of the stick into the melted candy coating then put the stick into the center of the cookie on the cream filling and then add the top cookie back. Let set for 5 mins.
  • Dip the cookies into the black candy coating, coating both sides. Gently shake off excess.
  • Place on parchment to dry for 10 mins or until solid.
  • Add green candy melt to a piping bag and melt on 30 second increments, turning the bag over and squeezing candy coating so it melts.
  • Cut off a small part of the tip of the piping bag and pip small dots at the top of the cookie. Immediately top with sprinkles while the coating is still melted.
  • Use a little chocolate to adhere the candy eyes to the body of the cauldron.
  • Pipe on a green mouth.
  • Let set another 10-15 min until fully dry.

Notes

You can make as many cauldron pops as you like. A standard 14.3-ounce package of regular Oreo cookies contains 36 cookies, but you can make 5 or all 36.
If you have leftover melted candy coating, just put it in an airtight container, and it will keep.
Notes: If the candy coating hardens, just heat in the microwave for 20-30 seconds.
Once these pops are completely set, you can wrap them in cellophane, tie a bowl on the stick and give them out as edible gifts. You can even get a black caldron, fill it with Styrofoam and stick the sticks in it for a centerpiece.
