This Oreo Easter Bark is one of those recipes I’ve been making for years, and it never gets old. It’s simple, it’s fast, and it’s the kind of treat the family looks forward to. And now that we don’t have Easter egg hunts, we still want Easter candy.
I love sharing my favorite recipes that are not only downright delicious but also so easy that anyone can make them, and that’s exactly what this Oreo Easter Bark is.
For me, this simple Easter dessert isn’t just another recipe; it’s a highly anticipated tradition. This is the recipe the kids helped me make for years, and now, the grown-up girls still ask for it.
I don’t chop the Oreos for this one. I lay them out whole and spread melted white chocolate right over the top, which gives you bigger bites and that classic cookies-and-cream crunch in every piece.
I’ve got a bit of a sweet tooth, so I’m always making easy holiday treats like Valentine’s Day Fudge, Saltine Cracker Candy, and Christmas Cream Cheese Mints. Got extra Oreos after making this bark? Use them to make these Easter Dirt Cake Cups, so you’ll have two easy no-bake desserts ready to go.

- Type of recipe: No-bake Easter candy
- Cooking method: Stovetop
- Skill level: Beginner
- Flavors & textures: Sweet, creamy chocolate with crunchy Oreo pieces and M&M’s
- Occasions: Easter baskets, spring parties, quick treats, make-ahead sweets
What Makes This So Easy
This Oreo Easter bark keeps things simple, which is exactly why it turns out so well. There’s no chopping or mixing, just twist the cookies apart, lay them out, and spread the melted white chocolate right over the top. Work from the center and push the chocolate out toward the edges so it covers the cookies evenly.
Using whole cookie halves gives you bigger bites and a better texture, and it also helps the bark break clean once it sets. You’re not dealing with crumbs or uneven pieces, so every bite has the cookies and cream crunch.
I use white chocolate chips here, and they work just fine because you’re spreading the chocolate over the cookies rather than trying to pour and level a thick layer. Melt them slowly, stirring well until smooth, and spread right away while the chocolate is still warm.
Easter Bark Ingredients
You only need three simple ingredients, and you probably already have them on hand.

- Oreo Cookies – I use the classic chocolate Oreos for this recipe, but feel free to use any other flavors or brands.
- White Chocolate Chips – I prefer the good quality of either Ghirardelli or Guittard white chocolate chips because they melt easily and provide a nice creamy base that also tastes delicious. You can also use their white chocolate bars.
- M&M’s – Look for the Pastel M&M’s for a pretty pop of Easter color; they add a nice crunchy texture.
Tip – I use white chocolate chips for this recipe, and they work just fine here because you’re spreading them over the cookies instead of trying to make a smooth candy layer. Just melt slowly and stir well so the chocolate stays smooth.
How To Make White Chocolate Oreo Bark
The preparation couldn’t be easier; seriously, just 10 minutes is all it takes. But, you gotta let it CHILL!
- Lay out: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Twist the cookies apart: I scrape off the cream filling. Lay the cookies on the parchment paper. I did six cookies down and four cookies across. NOTE: Removing the filling helps the bark set up firmer and keeps the bottom from getting stuck on the parchment paper. Scraping off the filling might feel like an extra step, but it makes a big difference in how clean and easy this bark is to handle.
- Melt: Add the white chocolate chips to a small bowl and microwave them in 30-second intervals until melted.
- Spread: Stir the white chocolate until smooth, then spread it on the cookies. Start in the middle and smooth to the edges.
- Sprinkle: Top the white chocolate with the M&M’s.
- Chill: Place the cookie sheet in the fridge for an hour to firm up the bark. Or set it on the countertop to set (this may take several hours).
- Break: Once the bark is set, break it into pieces. You can break it with your hands or use a sharp knife to cut it into pieces.

Storage and Gifting
Storing Oreo Bark – Once you break the bark into small pieces, store it in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. To freeze the bark, place it in an airtight freezer container for up to 6 months.
Gifting the bark – Make this bark a festive gift. Wrap the candy in cellophane bags with pretty ribbons or festive candy tins.

Getting the Kids Involved
I always enjoy kid-friendly recipes, and this candy recipe is ideal for them. Get the kids involved by having them arrange the cookies. Once you’ve coated them with white chocolate, let the kids sprinkle on the M&Ms. I’m certain there will be laughter as they sneak a few candy pieces. It’s all about making memories.
