Besides the flavor, the best part about these festive treats is that they are no-bake, so you can give your oven a break. This fun recipe is made with a simple cornflake marshmallow mixture, similar to Rice Krispie Treats, or these Lucky Charm Bars. Cereal isn't just for breakfast; it's for tasty treats.

How To Make Festive Christmas Wreath Cookies: Step-By-Step
Step 1. Put waxed paper on the counter or baking sheet.
Step 2. Melt the marshmallows and butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each time until the marshmallows are completely melted.
Step 3. Add a few drops of green food coloring to get the wreath color, and stir until totally combined.
Step 4. Add the cornflakes to the marshmallows mixture and stir until they are coated well.
Step 5. Add some butter to your hands so the mixture is less sticky and start to make the wreaths. Put ½ cup portions of the mixture in your hands and shape into wreaths. Put them on the waxed paper. (if you need to use a circle cookie cutter as a guide, this can be very helpful)
Step 6. While the wreaths are still soft, add the red candies to make the holly berries on top.
Step 7. Let the wreaths cool to set.
Christmas Wreath Tips
- Once the marshmallow melts in the bowl, you will need to make sure that you're moving along with the recipe details quickly.
- To prevent these no-bake cornflake cookies from sticking to your Christmas cookie plate, line it with waxed or parchment paper.
- You can also have fun with these cookies and mold the melted marshmallow mixture into different shapes. Candy cane cookies sound like a fun challenge!
Variations
- Change the red hot candies. If you don't want to add red hots, use red M&Ms, candy sprinkles, or large red nonpareil candies.
- Use Rice Krispies - While I'm a huge fan of these cornflake wreaths, using a different cereal is always an option.
