The Sacramento Coffee and Tea: The Series ~Featuring Classy Hippie Tea is all about my adventure to a quaint little tea shop that is big on, well, TEA. Not only can you browse and buy some exceptional tea but I love their concept of TEA which is ~Travel~Events~Activism.

My life revolves around tea. I drink it year-round, every day and all day and plan on what tea to have at certain times of the day. I am always seeking out new tea sources for this tea addiction I have, which of course, led me to Classy Hippie Tea.
I love loose leaf teas - the colors, the blends, and all the different flavors and aromas. Then there is the brewing - selecting the right pot and the perfect teacup to pour the freshly brewed tea.
There is nothing better than sharing a pot of tea; time slows down a bit while we savor a cup.
What I love about this tea shop is it is not overwhelming. The shop is small and very welcoming. The large clear jars of black, green, white, oolong, pu-erh, and herbal teas are artfully displayed making it easy to see the teas and choose your favorite.

Need advice? They are there to help and explain. I wanted to take each jar down from the shelf and smell the amazing aromas of each one of them, but I refrained and only took half of them down.
The names of the teas are very artful, like Blue Ivy, Ace of Berry, and Respect, Peace, and Love. These are definitely some fun and tasty blended tea.
After long deliberation, I came home with a lively and spicy black Sri Lanka tea. I could not resist the berry, hibiscus, rose, and fruit-flavored Blue Ivy which I think will make a great sangria tea. It brews to the most beautiful red color.

The highlight of my afternoon at Classy Hippie Tea was enjoying tea with Paul who provided a wealth of information on the different teas, the blends, the benefits of tea, plus valuable information on life, travel, Christmas dinner and why tea is better than coffee.
Are you a tea lover too? I would love to hear what your favorite tea is. Right now mine is Oolong. I love its deep honey and woodsy flavors.
Leo Hickman is the owner and Tea Sommelier of Classy Hippie Tea. This quote is on his website and I just fell in love with it.
"If you are about WELLNESS, ACTIVITY, PEACE, LOVE, EQUALITY, RESPECT, FREEDOM, JUSTICE, MINDFULNESS, SPIRITUALITY AND TRULY CARING ABOUT ONE ANOTHER, you may be a “Classy Hippie” too!"
Plan a visit to Classy Hippie Tea in Sacramento.
Sacramento Coffee and Tea the Series also visited Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters and The Mill.
I love the tea press I use at home. It is from Forlife. The press works smoothly, and the mesh filter does a great job of keeping even the finest tea bits out of the tea.
Let's have some tea together!
